About Calla

This is Calla. She has only ever been a pet, but is rather protective. I don't think she'd have any problem transitioning to working other than wanting to be around her family and needing lots of love and attention. She can be very nervous around other people. I haven't found anyone that she's just 'warmed up' to immediately outside of my husband, daughter, and me. I've worked with her fearfullness as much as I have the capability to. We love this pup, but we're renters with no fenced in yard at the moment. I think she would be a better fit with someone who has more time and room for her. She is a VERY stubborn potty trainer. I haven't been able to completely break her of going in the house. She's the least destructive puppy I've ever owned, but can still be, well, a puppy. She will require a meet and greet (at least an hour) before I allow her to leave with someone because she is fearful/nervous around new people. She does well with my 18 month old daughter, but not sure how she does around other children. She has not been around any dogs other than my GS, so I'm not sure how she will do with them. She's going to need someone who is both experienced with dogs in general and LGDs with room to run and a job for her to do(preferably someone with a farm and livestock). POOS.
