About Lemmy

Lemmy is a handsome 4 year old english bulldog who is looking for the perfect forever family for him. Lemmy came to us because he was snapping at an eldery man who was living in his previous home. Since being with us Lemmy has been very sweet and loving, but he has had snapping tendencies in his prior home. For this reason, Lemmy is looking for a home with no children. Lemmy is not house broken, so he will need patience and house training in his forever home. Lemmy is all about his people, and will come to you to demand affection. Lemmy thinks he is a lap dog, and will climb right up in to your lap to get some love. Lemmy will do best in a home with someone home more often than not, as he is very needy for affection. Lemmy LOVES toys. His favorites seem to be rope toys, but he also loves anything that squeaks, and drags his stuffed animals to his bed. The more toys the merrier. Lemmy walks well on a leash, just a little slowly and also rides well in the car. Lemmy is a playful big boy who weighs over 50 pounds. Lemmy recently had an entropian eye repair, soft pallet reduction, and a nostril widening surgery. Lemmy has previously lived with cats and done well, as well as living with a small pitbull. Lemmy would also do just fine as the only dog and would soak up all the love as the center of attention. Lemmy needs to meet any current dogs in the home before adoption to make sure it is a good match. Lemmy needs a home with a back yard, no apartments or rentals with breed restrictions or weigh restrictions please. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, & vet checked. His adoption includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him, come to our shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd. open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. All other dogs in the home must meet Lemmy before adoption, so please bring them along for the meet and greet.
