About Merlin

Merlin began to show up in our backyard around November. I havery warming and feeding stations set up for the strays. As the temperature dropped well below zero Merlin began to wait in our garage for me to feed him. In about a month he was letting me hold him. I brought him in the house in Dec. He was VERY scared and jumped at any movement. Within a couple weeks he had calmed down and wanted attention again. He had/has a bad habit of grabbing for your hands. He is not trying to scratch but with razor sharp claws you must know how to handle a stray cat. Since I didn't pull away and told him 'NO'each time he began to understand. Now my husband can pet him as well. Merlin is a wonderful boy and loves to lay across my lap and have his belly rubbed. He needs to be homed with a family that has worked with cats. I wish I could keep him but we have 11 rescue cats and I know my limit. Merlin has been through so much. He will lay his head on my shoulder when I hold him. He just needs a chance.
