About Luke

Meet Luke. He is a sweet 1 year old mixed breed who is one of the smartest dogs I have met. Luke is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs, both big and small. he would thrive best in a home with a canine sibling for companionship and play. He also does well with children and cats. He walks well on a leash, only getting excited to meet other dogs or people. A slight leash correction prevents him from pulling when needed (not often). He has had no accidents in our home and peacefully sleeps through the night on his dog bed beside our bed. He prefers not to spend time in a crate, but will do so when we need to leave him at home alone. I believe he would also be good just being left in a room with his bed by himself (instead of the crate) but have not yet tried it. He rides well in a car and loves to join me for a car ride when running errands. Luke is a super dog who learns quickly with mild and consistent reminders and rules.
