About Stephanie

Stephanie is fostered in Winter Garden, FL (Orange County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Stephanie is an itty-bitty heeler mix girl of 17 lbs and a year old. We are uncertain what her mix may be - perhaps terrier. She is a very loving pup who would do best in a home with another dog to play with. She does have a fair deal of timidity to her and will bark when a loud noise or unfamiliar person scares her, but she bonds readily with people once she knows they won't hurt her. She is fostered in a home with a toddler and two kids, and does great with them. She has also done fine with elderly folks and both men and women once she gets to know them. She would make a nice family dog. She does well walking on leash and enjoys fetching a tennis ball and playing with squeaky toys. She loves to play with other dogs and has done fine at the dog park. She is fostered with another young, smaller female dog and they are buddies. She is reported to not be good with cats. She does have a fair amount of herding drive so should go to someone familiar with the breed. Stephanie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is finishing up a round of deworming meds and will be ready to meet prospective families soon!
