About Hazel Grace

Who wants to meet the sweetest black lab in the world?! Hazel Grace is the nicest girl you will ever meet. When her current caretakers agreed to take her in they were given a lot of misinformation, but she's such a sweet girl that they couldn't give up on her so they contacted us instead of taking her to the pound and we fully evaluated her. They thought she would happily roam their property along with their other lab, but she seems to have separation anxiety that manifests as her not wanting to go outside because she thinks every time she goes outside she is going to get left alone. She was attacked by, most likely, another dog. Her ear is all chewed up and about a third of it is missing. Her eye also has the scars from a bite and unfortunately she is blind in that eye, but it is all healed up and she has her other eye and gets around just fine. Her eye appears normal except for a milk white part. She doesn't let any of that bother her. She has the perfect temperament; typical happy lab. She is also about 20 lbs overweight so she is on a diet right now. Hazel is probably around 6 years old, but we are not totally sure. She does have a spay tattoo and will have her shots before someone adopts her. Hazel does not need an experienced dog handler. She simply needs someone who is willing to pay attention to her, walk her every day, monitor her diet and work on a few simple and fun things that will help her gain confidence. Our trainer is willing to walk you through the simple process of curing her small anxiety issue and her diet and exercise needs and will be available for you until you are satisfied that both of you are happy together. Giving Hazel a home would be one of the most amazing experiences of your life. She wants so badly to learn and listen to you. She was such enthusiasm for working with you and being your friend. The smile on her face in the picture never leaves and perfectly exemplifies her personality. She just needs someone deserving of all the love she has to give.
