About Roux

Roux is a seal-point male Ragdoll- cream with sky-blue eyes. He is 7 years old and his birthday is April 7, 2010. He has been neutered since 5 months of age. Recent vet visit and rabies vaccination 12/29/17. Bloodwork panel done- clean and deemed healthy. He originated from a breeder, Cindy Haney Matthews in Williamsburg, VA. Roux is a reserved cat but does warm up to attention and freeze-dried salmon treats. He eats Nulo brand 'chicken & peas' dry cat food. He is not a heavy eater and weighs in at 12.3 pounds. Roux is litter-box trained. He loves playing and lounging like most cats. He is looking for a home apart from other cats because he is so dominant. Being around new pets gives him anxiety. Roux has never been around children or other pets, (besides cats), so don't know how he would react. He craves attention but is not a terribly clingy boy. Roux loves and uses cardboard scratching toys (doesn't scratch furniture). He does not shed much. He is very laid back in most circumstances. Roux likes stroking, but not really a lap cat. Roux got his name because Ragdolls are born a creamy white color and get their marks as they grow. As Ragdolls mature, their markings get darker and in Roux's case it was dark brown (seal).
