About Johnny Ringo

Adoption Fee: $50.00
Horse
Age: Yearling
Sex: Male

Hello. My husband and i rescued a 8 to 9 months old colt back in August. We have done alot for the colt. He is now a short yearling. My son named him Johnny Ringo. Once we took him in I decided to do some research into the people who we rescued him and 3 other horses from. Come to find out that they were saddling him up and and riding him at about 7 to 8 months old. He had never had any foot care and also has saddle sores. Due to this neglect he developed high ringbone in both front feet. He will need surgery to get better. His vet feels that he could make a trail horse if the procedure is done soon. My husband and I have made the very hard decision to try to place him in a place that he could get what he needs and lots of love. We love this little guy to death, but we cannot afford his vet care needs. Everyone has asked me why we dont put him down and my answer to this is. Just cause he is not ready. He loves loves to play. And play hard. He will let us know if he is and he isnt. I am reaching out for help. We just moved here in July. We dont know anyone that we can trust. So we are looking into reputable rescues that can provide for him what we just financially cannot. Johnny vet is Dr. Jayce Hill in Kayscreek Vet. My phone number is 435-400-0503 My name is Tyana. Everyone just calls me Ty. Johnny has his own personal facebook page. There u can see that he is not ready to be put down. I try to keep it active. His page is Johnny Ringo the Rescue Colt. Please help me. I am not sure what to do. I am reaching out everywhere looking for help to find him a great place. The other horses that we took in with him have found amazing new homes. But i dont feel comfortable letting him go. He is an easy kill baby. Johnny is going to be huge. Easily a 15 plus hand horse and even thru it all he is very much human bound. He loves his humans.
