About Roxie

Roxie is an amazingly beautiful shepherd. She is sweet and loves her people. She shares her love but usually picks one person to be her's. Roxie turns 3 in March. She is house trained, leash trained to walk on your left side, and loves to go for car rides. She is UTD, spayed, microchip, adoption fee $275.00. She gets along with all of my dogs at the rescue from 15lbs to 100lbs. She loves to play with my young shepherd. She sleeps on a blanket beside my bed. She enjoys chilling on the couch watching TV. Roxie goes outside when I go outside...Roxie goes inside when I go inside. She follows me EVERYWHERE. Whatever you want to do she is ready to do it...sleep, play, work, run errands. She has separation anxiety which means the new owner will have to make some accommodations: she can't be left alone in a backyard or she will dig out or left in a home where she will tear up window coverings. It will take some time for her to adjust to a new home and learn the routine. Best Homes for Roxie: 1) She would make a good Service Dog for someone with PTSD. If I get upset, her first response is to jump up on me. Obviously not the best response but it got my attention so there is plenty of room for training in that category. 2) She would also make a great Therapy Dog. She loves to meet new people and is very sweet. She flips your hand up to get pet and loves the attention. 3) She would be great for a widow/widower that wants a constant companion. 4) She would be good as a second dog in a family willing to work on her separation anxiety. Roxie's History: She came from a breeder in Texas. The owner had her for two years, she had one litter of puppies by c-section and they spayed her. When the owner moved, he surrendered her to my rescue.
