About Zeus

Gorgeous German Shepard Mix and has been neutered. He's such a beautiful and sweet boy; and also a big boy weighing in at 98 pounds. He is current on all of his vaccinations and his annual exam, along with flea/tick and heartworm prevention. I have had Zeus since he was 6 weeks old. He loves people and to cuddle and is very playful. He likes to play ball and fetch. Then, when he's all tired out he likes to cuddle; and when he cuddles, he likes to be sung to. He loves his humans and is very protective of his house and his humans. He has taken the first obedience class at Pet Smart and passed with flying colors. He's super intelligent and learns so quickly. He can sit, shake, lay down, fetch, and leave it if you tell him to leave something alone. His challenges are he's a bit stubborn at times and he gets really excited around people and tries to jump on them. This is something we have been working on for a while now and he is MUCH better about it. When he gets excited around new people and starts to jump, you just turn around and put your back to him and don't acknowledge him until he stops. He stops very quickly now-within 30 seconds or less-because he realizes you won't pet him until he stops. He can also be a chewer. Zeus is potty trained and lets you know when he has to go out. He prefers to be outdoors to run and explore most of the time because he has so much energy. He does enjoy sleeping inside at night or being inside for short periods. He has to be the ONLY pet in the h ousehold! He is not good with other animals, but is great with people! TZeus really HAS to be an only dog. He is a wonderful pet; truly the sweetest animal with humans. However, he does not relate well and is unpredictable with other dogs. It is a struggle that I have had with him since he was small. He is still young; he will be 3 years old this November.
