About Carmelita

12 year old beautiful, funny, MOODY cat looking for a home with people who understand cat body language with no children, ideally. Carmelita is very particular about how she likes being pet, and will bite when she's had enough, or if you don't pet her correctly. She has bitten our toddler several times, because my kiddo won't learn and loves her so much. She's very loving and so affectionate, but she also has an attitude and will tell you when she's had enough. She needs to be in a home with people who understand that sometimes she needs space, even if she's laying on her back in the middle of the living room (which she loves to do). She is also very submissive to other cats and is prone to being bullied by our other cats. She really is a special cat, who is charming and funny and that's why we've always accepted her attitude, which she has had since the day she was born (her mom was my aunt's cat). I really don't want to do this, but she deserves a home where she can stretch out and be the princess she is. She loves attention, but only on her terms, and that's a big problem in a house with an overly affectionate toddler.
