Hello, my name is Greta! What makes me special? I landed in a rural Va shelter at the ripe age of 12 with my sister Betty when my owner went to a nursing home and could no longer care for us. I am a little shy at first, but I warm up very quickly. I like other dogs, and my sister Betty is very dependent on me to show her that despite losing our home, everything is going to be ok. My doctor performed bloodwork and I have a clean bill of health! I have been spayed, and also had a dental to extract several fractured teeth. I feel much better now! What do I need to be happy? I just need my owner. I will shower you with love and let you rub on me all day. This is what I enjoy most in the world. I would be an easy addition to any home, however I worry how my sister Betty will worry without me. If there's any way we could be considered as a package deal, I know it would make Betty very happy. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
