About Susie

Susie is an 8.5 year old Bull Terrier Jack Russell Terrier mix who I have had the pleasure of owning since 2011. I need to rehome her because I am taking a job in a city across the country that will require that I work 18 hour shifts and I do not feel it is ethical to leave her for that length of time. I grew up with dogs and I can say that Susie is the best dog I have owned. She is incredibly sweet to people and has a soft temperament around humans. She gets really excited when she knows she is going for a walk but can also lay around the house all day need be. She has a funny personality and is quite vocal. She is house trained and responds to sit, stay, come, lay down, and 'go to your bed' (her crate). She is NOT good with other animals, including dogs and cats. I acquired Susie in 2011 when a friend adopted her from the pound; Susie was taken home and immediately got in a fight with the other dog in the home and this is when I took Susie in. She has access to my backyard and I ask that if you are to adopt her that you have tall fences as she can jump pretty high. Other than that blemish, Susie is an incredible little dog and is ridiculously cute (she has a spotted belly, a brown ear, and has the funniest friendly growl when she gets annoyed). She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and sees the vet once per year. I live in Albuquerque, NM. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in adopting her.
