Mickey was at the shelter for a long time after his person surrendered him to the same shelter she had adopted him from 4 years earlier. His person returned to the Philippines and decided he couldn't go with her. Mickey was adopted by a family but they kept him outside when he was used to being an inside dog. They returned him to the shelter where he was scared and unsure of the people around him. In his foster home he has just thrived. Mickey is such a smart boy. He knows sit, stay, off, down, shake, high five, and give me change! He is housebroken and loves women. He is not a barker, but he likes to talk of sorts, he will make a noise to let you know he wants your attention and he can be vocal with other dogs, but not in a bad way, more like when playing, very much a terrier thing. He loves his walks and just wants someone to love and to love him. He loves sleeping under the covers. He can spend hours outside if you let him enjoying the sun that's the Chihuahua in him! We think Mickey would do really well in a home with older dog savvy children or in a home with an individual who can give him the attention and love he deserves.
