About Texas

Tex is a great loving l2 1/2 yr old ow energy pit bull mix. He loves to lounge around and believes that he's a lap dog. He's great with people and most other animals. He's been great with children, until recently, we have a high energy 4 yr old daughter in which he's growled at a cpl times. I took him to the vet to make sure there was nothing physically bothering him as she's always been able to lay all over him and play with him. He's great with our older boy, so I'd say that he'd be good in a home with an older child/teen. I don't want to see him hurt or put into a position that he ends up in trouble or being put down. I've owned many pit bulls over the years, so it's not that I don't know how to deal with them as a bully breed. He'll walk and run on leash, knows commands, isn't food aggressive in the least. He's also potty trained and does fine outside of the crate when left alone as well as in his crate.
