About Duke

Duke, the 7 yr old Bloodhound came into our care with Daisy, when their owner surrendered them over due to not being able to properly care for them anymore. Duke was just adopted but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. Now, Duke is in the process of losing some weight and is ready to find a forever home to live out his senior years! This laid back and sweet, 125 pound guy is extremely well behaved but can be stubborn and would definitely benefit from some simple obedience classes. He loves people and couldn't be happier always being by your size. Due to his size and some slight possession issues we've discovered, it'd be best for him if he went to a home with no young kids or cats. It's nothing that can't be worked with, even at his age he has so much potential! He does great with the dogs in his foster home but does need to learn boundaries and that he isn't in control of every situation. We would love for him to go to a home with Bloodhound experience, to work with him on his slight issues and give him all the love and attention he needs. He's neutered, completely utd on vaccinations, housebroken, and can be left unattended in a home and does great! Duke will make a wonderful companion for someone. His adoption fee is $350 with an approved application (along with the fee towards mileage for any home visit/possible adoption). There is more information on the adoption application.
