*** In rescue for several months with no interest!!! *** Hello there! So excited you stopped to say hi! Let me tell you a little about myself. I spent several long months in the county shelter where I was dropped off by my 'owner'. He said I bit him. So the shelter had to make me 'rescue only' which means the general public could not adopt me. The shelter staff and volunteers fell in love with me there (I heard them say that!). They tried for months to find a rescue to take me. Then these nice volunteers found The Halfway House Rescue and they said yes! So my foster mama brought me home and she tells me I have been such a good boy! I like hanging out with her dogs, big and small. I love to snuggle and belly rubs are my favorite. I am up to date on my shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. So here is what my foster mama said I have to tell you- I would probably do better without young kids as I do get nervous. I am a typical little dog who thinks he is a big dog. I tried to argue with foster mom about that one but she said I had to tell you. The humans are in charge so I guess she knows best! I am not food aggressive with other dogs and mama calls me 'loyal and protective' of her. I love to sleep under the covers and kisses make me so happy. If you would like to meet me please let the rescue ladies know! I am Dachshund/Chi and I am only about 10-15 pounds of sass, but I absolutely love to snuggle. I would love to be part of a forever family!
