About Davis

Plott / Dutch Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

I am so happy you stopped to take a second look at me! Foster mom says I always have a sad looking face but I am not a sad dog! My name is Davis. I was found wandering and despite the nice people looking everywhere for my owners, no one ever came forward. I am so glad I went to the right house- they fed me and kept me warm and found The Halfway House to take me in. Since I came to the rescue a lot has happened! I went to the doggie doctor for shots and neuter and a microchip. I am on flea/tick and heartworm prevention now. I have learned what a soft bed feels like and snuggles are my favorite. Since I was on my own for so long, I am still a little nervous and slow to trust but never aggressive toward anyone. I like other dogs but foster mom says no cats because I want to chase them. I am a pretty laid back boy. Sometimes I get afraid I won't have enough to eat so I take human food I can find from the kitchen. Foster mom fusses at me when I do that! She keeps promising I will never be hungry again. I am trying to trust her. If you promise I will always have food and a warm bed, maybe we could meet? Just let the rescue ladies know and they can set up a meeting!
