About Pooh

Meet Pooh! He is a 3-4 year old Australian Shepherd with medium energy. He loves spending time with his people and just wants to make them happy. He is a good running and hiking buddy, but can relax indoors too. Loves to play with squeaky toys and excellent with other dogs. He has been tested around dogs of different ages, sizes, and temperaments and takes their cues to play or back off. If the dog wants to play he will happily join in on the fun! Pooh knows how to heel, sit, down, stay, shake and 'other paw'. His walking skills are very good and while out on a walk he is calm and doesn't bark at other dogs or people 2017 was a rough year for Pooh, but I keep telling him 2018 will be different. He didn't have a lot of stability and was passed around and got stranger danger. He can be very afraid of some people at first and for others you would never know that he has any fear. His new owners need to be patient and willing to help him make introductions to new people at his own pace. He has come a long way and has learned to trust people more. He has never been in a home with children so we don't recommend it for his new home. He takes praise and motivation easily and is a fun dog to train with. He is very social with other dogs and would love to have an energetic playmate.
