About Snoop Dog

Snoop Dog is a super sweet, 1 YO, 60 lb, boy who came to PAWS as a stray. We advertised him for days, but no owner ever came forward. His personality is a great mixture of playful, friendly, and independent while at other times he can be shy and submissive, but he's definitely a couch potato and laid back. He's a little timid when meeting new people, so he'll be just out of petting range, but won't run away and warms up quickly as soon as he knows you'll be nice to him. His foster daddy has three of his own dogs, and Snoop is very playful and friendly with them. We don't know how he is with cats, but because he's a calm dog, we believe he would be fine with cats and children. Snoop Dog is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is calm and quiet when riding in a car. He is very content to just be 'home', and doesn't feel the need to wander off as he stays in the foster's yard off leash with him most times. Snoop is just a laid back dog who wants to cuddle with you on the couch where he sleeps primarily. He's never displayed any separation anxiety when his foster works up to eight hours a day. He has food left out all day and only eats when he's hungry. Snoop Dog would do well with a first time or experienced dog owner. Since his exercise needs are average, he would be fine in a fenced-in yard playing with his owner or canine companion and taking walks for his exercise.
