About Indy

SPR Spotlight! Say hello to Indy - you may have read about him back in October when he first came to us as a very sick boy. Indy has recovered since then and regained the weight. We decided that he would benefit greatly from some training - so he's been working with a professional trainer and responding very well! Indy really desperately wants to be a good boy, and he's doing a great job of learning what that means! Once he's adopted, he'll need to continue his training and some training sessions will be part of his adoption. We need to have adopters who are in the local Phoenix Metro area for this to happen. Indy has made great advances while in training - so much so that the trainer believes that Indy can be considered for a home with other dogs. We would be looking at the temperament of the others dogs to have just the right fit between them and Indy. Indy plays in play groups everyday. We think a home with adults would be best for him as he is a big boy. Indy is a man's type dog so he would love an active, experienced male handler in the home, but he's done very well with women as well. Indy's trainer recently took him on a trip and he traveled well and LOVES hiking. Not every home will be the right fit for Indy; it will take a special place for him to thrive. But whoever winds up adding this guy to their pack will have themselves a certified love bug and one heck of a hugger!
