About Silas

Sometimes the best dogs are deaf. Noisy kids? No problem! Lots of traffic on your sidewalk? No problem! Not much for conversation? No problem! Silas is so laid back and even tempered. You will get to enjoy his company without all the extra stuff that comes with hearing dogs. This 2 & 1/2 year old isn't at all jumpy despite being deaf. He is good with kids, people, and so chill even pushy dogs don't seem to bother him. Silas is house trained and though he would rather be with people, he tolerates his crate. This smart boy is very trainable and despite being deaf 'listens' very well. So far he's learned three signs and he does great with them. Silas has no food issues with people but isn't fond of other dogs getting near his food. He was thin when he came to us so we believe that once he learns his food is never ending he will come out of this easily. Since Silas is deaf he does have a fence requirement to help keep him safe from those things he can't hear. Silas is up for adoption at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs/.
