About Mitzi

Mitzi is a 1.5 year old Lynx Point Siamese Mix kitty. Her caretaker thinks that Mitzi is a textbook Siamese cat. She is energetic, affectionate, intelligent, loyal, and vocal. She wants to be in the same room that you are in and she doesn't like closed doors. She is perfectly happy to watch you shower, so leaving the door ajar is an invitation. She is also smart and very in tune to humans. Mitzi seems to understand what you want from her, such as play tag with her or tell her to stop harassing the senior resident cat who prefers to be left alone so she can take her beauty nap. This brings us to the reason why Mitzi is up for adoption. Here caretaker would love to keep her because she is just such an endearing and engaging little cat. However, Mitzi doesn't understand why the resident cat hisses and swats when she gets too close. It has created some feline imbalance in the otherwise chill household. Her caretaker is sure that with the right human interaction Mitzi could be taught to do tricks (her caretaker is currently working on getting her to sit on command). She is a companion cat who wants to be with you all the time. She is enchanted with the little things, like a giant horsefly, and will make endearing little noises as she figures it out. She is a purring machine and it is easy to get her started, just a single petting stroke will do it. She isn't devious and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's a sweet, loving thing who has spent far too much time alone and wants to make up for it with you. She also loves, loves, loves toys and will make a playground of simple things, like a wad of packing paper or a cardboard box. Mitzi is an awesome cat who got a rough start in life. Her previous owner got evicted from their home and Mitzi had to spend some time living in a warehouse. Her caretaker has taken her to the vet for all of her vaccinations and has asked our organization to help Mitzi find a perfect home. Ideally Mitzi would become a pet to a home with older cat savvy children since she loves to interact with children (as well as with adults). Here caretaker believes that she would be well suited as a companion for another high-energy cat since she is so friendly and very playful. A dog would also be great for her since she has been around a dog who she loved to interact with.
