My name is Lynda, and if you are looking for a large, laid-back lady friend to spend your days with, I am the beauty for you! I am a 7-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix, and when I say I am a big beauty, I mean it since I weigh in at a hearty 101 pounds! I have luxurious black fur with a darling white spot on my chest near my heart, which is appropriate since I have so much love to give the lucky people who choose to make me a part of their family! My friends from Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where my previous owner left me when they no longer wanted me. If I am being honest, I am pretty happy they did so I can have a new start and a real happily ever after! You see, my previous owner kept me outside or in the garage most of the time, so now that I am with Fetching Tails I am experiencing love and affection in a home for the first time in a long while. And I just LOVE soaking up all the attention I can! I am a pretty calm, lazy girl and nothing makes me happier than leaning into my favorite person to receive pets. I think I would do best as your one and only fur friend so I can get all your attention all for myself. When I dream of my forever home, I envision a calm home where I can enjoy your company and chill on a comfy, cozy dog bed near you! I have some pretty good house manners, as well. I am potty trained, and can settle down and relax in my dog bed while my humans are away from home. I do not like being crated, but know not to make a mess in the house or chew on things I shouldn't, though sometimes I like to gently carry a shoe around when I am feeling silly! I would prefer a home with a tall privacy fence or a person without a yard who will take me for long walks for exercise because I am very good at climbing chain-link fences and it would be safest for all of us if I didn't have that temptation! Fetching Tails encourages all adopters to sign up for training classes with their new pups, and I think it could be a good opportunity for us to bond and learn a lot together! I know a couple commands already, including sit and give paw; I will even give paw without prompting just because I love to reach out and touch you!
