About TIGER

URGENT URGENT ADOPTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!!! Meet TIGER. He is approximately 2-years-old, 86lbs., neutered, housebroken, crate trained, heartworm negative, Plott Hound/Great Dane mix. He is good with people and other dogs and adores children. The smaller they are, the more he seems to understand that he needs to be gentle. He needs a slow introduction to men, let him come to you and introduce himself and then he'll be fine. He would love to have a family that took him to the dog park so he can really stretch those long legs of his and feel the wind flapping his ears. Tiger loves treats, he is very food motivated, loves to run, knows simple commands when he wants to listen, actually responds to the words 'are you hungry?' he will come running to get fed. He will sit and wait for his food to be set down and wait for the ok to go to the bowl to eat. He has done this from day one on his own. He pulls hard on the leash and darts out the doors to go outside. We have found that he must have been trained with a pinch collar. When we put one on him he completely relaxed and has never pulled once. If you have a glass door, he can and will open doors with lever handles!! He has a ball he loves to play with in the backyard. It was lost for a day, tennis balls he wants to eat other balls he was not interested in. He was so happy when it was found again. He is a soft toy killer and it has been very hard to find toys he doesn't destroy in seconds, lots of damaged toy returns to stores. 'Hunts' the backyard but will eat various things he finds in the yard also like sticks, grass, wood chips, berries dropped from birds.
