About Snickers - PENDING!

New to OCDRT on 2/5/2018 from NE Ohio Snickers is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio Snickers is just under a year old & around 40#. He was found as a stray and the owners came forward, but were unable to keep him, so the good Samaritan that found him, contacted us to bring Snickers into our program. Snickers introduced well to the dogs he has met in both homes, and wants to play. He crates well & is very people oriented. Snickers met the resident cat and shows interest, but not intensity, so training will brush him up on manners with cats. He is scheduled for his neuter, micro-chip, vaccines, and heartworm test today. While under evaluation, Snickers will learn foundation skills, obedience, social skills, crate training, travel in a vehicle & leash manners. Check back for updates as we get to know Snickers better and he settles in and shows us what he needs in a forever home. UPDATE 2/12/2018: Snickers has settled in very nicely in his foster home. He's very respectful of the resident senior ACDs & the wild young cat. He is now neutered, heartworm and tick disease tested negative, current on rabies vaccine, de-wormed & micro-chipped. He will receive his 2nd round of vaccines, and fecal test in the next two weeks. Snickers is learning men are good and his foster Dad is making sure all interactions are positive. He's been a very compliant happy young male, you just don't find ones like this often. We will start to process his received applications this week! UPDATE 2/22/2018: Snickers has a deposit from an approved applicant to hold him for a meeting around 3/3 UPDATE 3/3/2018: Snickers had a successful meeting with his forever family and his new ACD sibling!
