About Dewey

Hello there! My name is Dewey, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, and curious black DSH/ Bombay mix little girl who was born around Halloween in late October 2017. I have a sleek coat that's as shiny as black patent leather and copper-penny eyes. I love to curl up in my foster meowmy's lap or snuggle with my big brother Louie. This is not surprising because we Bombay mixes are often called, watch the attached video that appeared on Animal Planet or google 'Cats 101 Bombay.' I am extremely curious, and my foster meowmy is constantly pulling me Velcro kitties because we are so attached to our humans. When my brothers Huey and Louie as well as myself were orphaned at just 5 weeks of age, a Good Samaritan rescued us and brought us to a vet, who contacted Buster's Friends, who is renowned for having a heart for black cats. What a relief that I don't have to contend with the dangerous life on the streets any more and that the food and water bowls are full and my beds are warm and cozy. I get along great with the other cats in my foster home, but I have not been around dogs or kids yet. As much as I like it here, I know that I deserve a home of my very own. Won't you come meet me (and my brothers too, for that matter!) because adopting two kittens is more fun than just one. I promise that you will fall in love with little me because I'm 'sugar and spice and everything nice.' Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. Dewey is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted.
