Mastiff mix

Major, aka 'Squishy Face McDroolson', was OPH's holiday miracle pup- a sweet lug of a dog, who found himself in a shelter at the young age of 10 months. Spending at least the previous 6 months chained outside with several preventable and curable health issues, he is happy to be in the loving hands of OPH! This slobbery love bug wants nothing more than a pet on the head and a home to call forever. OPH is paying for all his medical needs. He is neutered, UTD on shots, and fostered in Linthicum Heights, MD. Some of Major's fantastic qualities: *Perfect age - he is about a year old and 100+lbs *Crate trained - His foster mom crates him at night and during the day. *Good House Manners - House trained and just wants to be near you *Intelligent - Walks well on leash. He would love to learn more! *Good with adults in the family - He is cautious of new people, he will look to his owners for confirmation - slow introductions to the quick movements of children will be necessary. *Loves the outdoors *LOVES to Love - he can always use a hug or a pet, making every day special. *Excited about car rides - Hops right in the car and gets comfy. *Ready to enter your family - he is up to date on all shots and neutered *Excellent Pup for a medium energy single, couple, or family - Would love to play awhile and snuggle later. *Loyal and Eager to Please - He bonds very quickly to his family and just wants to be near you *Dog untested - stay tuned! We are finding friends for Major to meet. *Cat chaser - would not suggest Major with small animals Major's miracle started when OPH's incredible community of supporters leapt into action and held a special fundraiser to cover Major's medical costs so that we could rescue him. Check out his backstory here: https://join.ophrescue.org/campaign/a-holiday-miracle-for-major/c160746 A few hours after being rescued, he escaped and began a 26 mile journey back to his owner's house. Talk about loyal! Read about his journey here: https://www.facebook.com/Operationpawsforhomes/posts/1754925001194890.
