About Hondo

Hondo is a happy, playful boy who needs a job. He loves to be outside and is always sniffing around. Loves to play fetch with a ball, but is also content to run laps in the yard while his parents are at work. He is an indoor/outdoor dog. He knows basic commands- sit, stay, lay down, off, and does well on a leash. He sticks close to his family and can easily walk off leash while hiking. His herding instinct is strong and he would love to work on a farm. He doesn't have much experience with other dogs, and seems to prefer to be with a one dog family. Never been around cats. He would be best suited for a family with older children or adults. He's shown anxious behavior around our toddler and due to our current work schedule, we aren't able to spend as much time with Hondo as we'd like. He's anxious in new environments and with walking on slick floors. He's very lovable and sweet hearted, and always looks like he's smiling! We love him and wish we could give him the home he deserves, hoping we can find a home more suited for him.
