We rescued Nora from a county pound but were unprepared for her medical needs. She obviously had a horrible first year of life as she was severely underweight (27 lbs) and the signs of abuse and neglect were all over her body. It was heartbreaking every time we went to touch her, she would flatten her body on the ground. It took a while for her to trust us. She has very limited vision. She has a condition called diabetes insipidis and requires 2 shots a day. This condition causes increased thirst and urination. Because of my recently diagnosed heart condition and the need to work, we feel that we can't provide the care she desperately needs and it is breaking our hearts. Plus our older dog tends to pick on her. She loves to play with our other dog and the cats. She also sleeps with the cats. Because she is young, she still needs training but our work schedules prevent us from providing consistent care. She loves to cuddle, play, chew, eat peanut butter and eat. She is now up to 43 lbs and is a beautiful dog. She will come with collar, leash, needles, meds including heart guard and flea and other items. Her meds can be ordered from an online pharmacy with a vets prescription and we will provide her records. She is up to date on her vaccinations. She is a very sweet dog in need of a family that has more time to provide for her medical needs. We considered having her put down but do not feel that such a vibrant, beautiful, sweet puppy should have her life ended when it has just started to begin. She is finally starting to enjoy being a pup. If you are experienced with special needs dogs and feel you can offer her a good life and care that she deserves, then she will be an awesome dog for you.
