Scout is a very smart, energetic ball of fun. He is a little over one year old and is a Husky/Yellow Lab mix (note one eye is partially blue). He is about 60 pounds and is a rescue who was neglected and thus has not developed a strong bond with people. He came from a family with a toddler and small children, but was virtually ignored and provided no exercise. He has adapted well to his new home, gets along with my other four rescues and my cat, but I do not have the time to train him and give him the attention he needs. He learns very quickly, but does not like to be alone. He would thrive with a someone who works from home and enjoys daily, extended walks. This dog can run and does not seem to ever tire. If you want a hiking companion, Scout is the one! I believe when he bonds with the right family, he will be a dependable, trustworthy and protective force. He does not bark unnecessarily, but he is very vocal and does enjoy soup bones and chewies to keep his chewing tendencies at bay. He is a beautiful dog and will be a blessing to someone special.
