About Gorgeous Gus

Gorgeous Gus is a male pitbull, neutered, about 5 years old. I rescued him about 3 years ago. Someone had set him on fire, cut his ears with scissors, broke his tail, and starved him. When I got him he was a big, bloody scab. No fur, and extremely emaciated. He also has demodectic mange and has to take Ivermectin when it flares up. It took me over a year to get him back to health and now he's the happiest, goofy dog ever. He loves all people, especially kids and babies. He is dog aggressive with some dogs, usually male dogs. He got along with my entire pack of 8 dogs, but sometimes he just doesn't like other dogs. It's a very long story, but my 3 dogs and I have been living in my little car for several weeks. And that's just not fair to them to be stuck in a little car 24/7. Gus loves to play fetch with tennis balls and he loves to ride in the back of the truck. He is crate trained and potty trained. He loves to sleep in my bed with me, under the covers, and take up the whole bed. He loves to be outside but he's also a lazy butt when he is inside. He's my special baby and it's breaking my heart to have to give him away. But if I can find him a very good home, I would let him go. I am begging for help so that I don't have to take him to a shelter.
