About Cole-ADOPTION PENDING

Lab / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Cole is a Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog mix...this breed mix is becoming more and more popular due to their smaller size (32 - 40 lbs is common), super intelligence and very shiny and cottony-soft coats. They are found to be great family members making very loyal companion dogs to older kids and adults. Their very sweet and fun-loving nature knows no bounds. Cole, at only about 14 weeks old and approximately 15 lbs (estimated to be full grown at about 35 lbs), was facing the end of his life before it ever began. Farfel's New Mexico rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this puppy...they rescued Cole just in time. This sweet, engaging and silly guy has been touching hearts ever since. Cole's rescuer had the following to say about this beautiful puppy: Cole is a gorgeous smaller Lab/Cattle Dog mix with the softest coat I've ever felt! He is an exceptional puppy...so smart and friendly but will need a bit of time after all he's been through to feel secure in his new situation. Cole doesn't have an ounce of aggression in his entire body and therefore is great with people and other dogs (untested with cats). He would be wonderful with a family who desires a playful and very engaging dog who is super sweet and can accompany them anywhere due to his great temperament and perfect size. Cole is an incredibly beautiful puppy...with truly striking blue-black hair with the cutest polka- dot chest and feet. He is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. This guy is so smart and very engaging...so typical of this breed mix that is growing in popularity. Cole has such a loving heart once comfortable that there's no way you won't fall in love. Since Cole is just a baby, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome companion - he will form firm bonds with his family (as well as other dogs and humans) and learn positive socialization skills through puppy kindergarten followed by positive reinforcement group obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with excellent behavior. We'd like Cole to find his forever home with an active retired couple or individual with lots of time and energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Cole is great with children at his early age and would be an exceptional companion for older kids that would like a best friend to accompany them on fun adventures. Cole will be up to date on his vetting. We're hoping that he will also be neutered when he arrives from New Mexico, however a very young puppy like Cole is often deemed too young to be fixed. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for Cole to be neutered/microchipped at our vet in Denver after his arrival on transport. Cole is arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 2/3/18. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loving best friend. An application can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to [email protected] or fax to 303-443-7730. PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Cole, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
