About Abby

Meet Abby. I am an 11 year old Rat Terrier and weigh about 12 pounds. I'm spayed, up to date on all my shots, heart worm negative and have a micro chip. I am a pretty quiet, laid back girl who loves to be with people. I am very sweet and love affection to be petted and loved on. I am bit leary of being picked up but will let you pick me up for a snuggle on the couch. I am looking for a home that is quiet, with someone who is home most of the time. I am very bonded to my humans and get lonely when they are gone because I used to be able to have someone with me all the time. I like taking naps and sleeping with you, if you let me. I am house trained to go to the door and let you know I need to go out, but will use puppy pads if available. I do like to go on Car rides and do well in a small carrier or leashed into a dog seat. I do not need to go for walks if I have a yard to go to, but I do seem to enjoy going on them. ��%BD'��%BD��%BD I love to go outside, run the yard, smell everything and soak up the sun. I feel like a young dog when I get to chase a flashlight along the ground. I like looking out the window, watching people nearby. I get along with other dogs as long as they give me some space. I would not be good with cats or small animals. I would do well with older children, and young children who are visiting my family as I am older and can't keep up running with them, but would enjoy lots of pettings from them.
