BARNEY is a senior Jack Russell mix who came to the shelter when his owner died and other family members could not provide him with the right type of home. He was adopted briefly but came back because he was nippy toward unfamiliar people coming into the home and other animals. He needs to be the only pet in very sedate adult home. With the staff and volunteers here at the shelter, he has been fine--other than being scared of the big dogs' barking. We are a small shelter located in rural PA; closest city is Pittsburgh. Please Map It before you contact us. We require a meet and greet with any other dogs in the home, check references, and need to meet the prospective adopters; therefore, we do not transport dogs.
