About Sully

Sully is a 4 year old male long haired Dachshund with a beautiful golden red coat. He was owner surrendered by an older couple who could no longer take care of him. He wants to be with his person and likes to lay right beside them. He craves attention and greets us excitedly. He kennels well but then sometimes doesn't want to come out. He knows how to beg if he really wants what you are eating and we are working on sit and come. He does not like leashes or anyone pulling/coaxing on his collar. But once you get a leash on he walks just fine. He is afraid of lots of stairs but will go up and down a few steps easily to go outside. He is a nervous traveler and shakes in the car, so he won't be a great traveling companion. He is mostly potty trained. He likes to carry toys into his kennel and will chew on them for a short while. He ignores cats and gets along with other dogs but does not necessarily like to play with them.
