Barlow is a small, 7 year old Chihuahua who had a horrible existence before we rescued him. He was found locked in a crate on a busy street and brought to animal services. This little boy was in horrific condition with no hair, full of fleas and very emaciated. He was so scared that animal services could not deal with him so he was brought to us in the crate he was found in. For weeks he would not let anyone come near him but when he finally realized he was safe, he started to come around. He is now completely healed and has a really healthy coat and at his normal weight. He still is frightened of most people but when he knows he will not be abused, he relaxes. Barlow gets along with the other dogs and walks well on a leash. He loves to go for long walks. He needs a family who will take the time with him and they will see that he has blossomed into a great dog. We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link: http://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information/
