We have been fostering Dani about 18 months after she was rescued from the pound. She is very sweet with adults and children although large and sometimes anxious in stressful situations. With other animals she acts submissive but can be territorial and has shown cat aggression when genuinely provoked. Because of her size and uncertainty about other animals we do not leave her unattended with our small dogs or cats. She also is a toy hoarder and doesn't seem to like other large dogs much. She first had great anxiety about storms but has really improved. She also had heartworms but is now *negative* as well as spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She would do best in a home with structured outdoor activities (dog park, swimming, fetching) and no other pets. She does fine in the car. She should not be left loose, unattended indoors as this causes her anxiety. She currently resides in a dog run while outdoors and is crated indoors when alone. Her crate is her safe place. Too much space when unattended makes her nervous. A short application and $50 fee to the hosting group is required to adopt.
