About Jackie

JACKIE aka Zoey is a fantastic dog...about 8 mos old...Jackie/ /AKA Zoey is one of the sweetest, cutest dogs you will ever meet. She is spayed, 4 vaccinations including Bordetella, Rabies, Leptospira & Influenza and microchipped. When she is outside, she is active, runs and plays great with other dogs, and at the park, she runs around, but always stays nearby her human(s) and instantly comes running back when called to. Once home, loves nothing more than to be by your side with her head on your lap and just relax or finds the box of toys and play with as many as possible until the box is empty. She is very curious, very smart and a quick learner. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but with some encouragement, she warms up to them very quickly. She can be frightened of new noises, but also seems to not bother her after hearing it just a few times. Zoey needs to go to a home with another dog she can learn from, and with someone who will not be away from home for long periods. We might possibly consider a home w/o another dog or dogs but only if with two adults who are with her nearly 24/7 as she does howl and /or begin to chew things from what we would call a mild separation anxiety when alone. She was saved from an 87% kill shelter in TX, so dog only knows her past. She was one of the lucky few to make it out alive and she seems to know it and shows her affection for being saved. She adores her human and dog friends very dearly. We will be seeking a home for her without cat(s). Also, because she will howl some, she needs to be in a home (no apartment/condo/townhomes).
