FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meet our little Izzy! What a fun and loveable gal she is! Izzy is pretty much the perfect little dog to add to nearly any home. Izzy came to Fuzzy Pawz when the stress of living in an Idaho shelter became too much for her. This girl 3 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua isn't shy and is quick to bond with her people. She really loves her lap time and will ask for attention any moment she can. But she doesn't pester---she'll go lie down in her bed too if a lap isn't available. Izzy is playful and loves her plush toys. She'll play fetch and tug, and sometimes even entertain herself with her toys. Izzy is great with cats and dogs. She has both in her foster home. Izzy can be slightly possessive of her 'things' if allowed. This means her food, her toys, and her people. However, she is easy to correct and knows this isn't proper behavior for a lady. For this reason, we'd like to see that she goes to a home where she is required to 'share' with other animals and people so she doesn't develop bad habits. Izzy is housetrained, but like a lot of small dogs, she takes a little encouragement when it's windy and cold outside. She's also crate trained, and will put herself to bed when she's ready. While she loves walks, she does pull a bit and should learn some leash skills. This is a very active girl who would do best in an active home with other pets. Walks, play time, and other activities would help her to thrive.
