About Kona

Oh Kona girl!! This adorable super sweet German Shepherd mix is only 8 months old and already she is in search of a 2nd home. Through no fault of her own she found herself in an Idaho shelter; she was stressed in that environment so Fuzzy Pawz stepped in and placed her in one of our foster homes. Kona can be a touch shy with strangers at first but VERY quickly wants to cuddle and be in your lap! Her favorite things are to lie on your lap on the couch and to sleep buried under the nearest covers. We think she would be fine with kids over 5 who can with stand being jumped on occasionally when Kona is excited. She gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with them; a good game of chase through the yard is an all-time favorite. Cats in her new home would be a bad idea as they will quickly become her new favorite 'toy'. She would do best in a home with another dog that will play with her. Kona is a quiet girl who wants to be with her people and is up for any training challenge you send her way. She would love a puppy class; she is very treat motivated so it will be easy and fun! She is house trained, kennel trained and is past the chewing on things stage.
