Nala is a Deaf American Bulldog, We adopted her knowing she was deaf as a puppy. She will be 6 years in August. She knows hand signals, and is eager to please. She is very protective over her family, and with that being said she does NOT do well with children and other animals. She loves to run in her big back yard, and when she isn't sunbathing on the back porch in the sun on warmer days she likes to look out the window or lay in front of the glass door and look out to the happenings of the neighborhood. I think if Nala were around more people and dogs she would adapt wonderfully she really just wants to play and please. She is better with men or at least seems to take to them better. She is starting to show signs of hip dysplasia other and she has a benign tumor on her neck that doesn't seem to bother her and has been checked by the vet. She has been on Benfield's Health plan since she was a puppy. And she has been well taken care of. It breaks our hearts that we are no longer able to care for her, A divorce and move from our home to a rental that does not except pets has brought us to this decision. If it weren't for the no pet policy we would keep her, she is an amazing dog.
