About Rousseau

Hey there, my name is Rousseau! I'm a six year old Dachshund standard (not miniature). My little feet turn out like Basset Hound feet, and I have the body of a Dachshund. But hang on, before convince yourself that I'm too mature for you, let me set you straight. I'm as adventurous as any puppy, and just as friendly, too! What's more is that with an older dog like me, you get a pup that is already used to living in a home environment and that knows his doggy manners. I've lived indoors for my entire life and am fully trained. I am also already neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. What more could you ask for? As nice as the people at the shelter are, this is no way for an older gentleman like me to live. I deserve a home where I can lounge on the couch, take walks in the sunshine, and go on all sorts of adventures. Oh - but I prefer to be the only pet and get all of your attention. Is that too much to ask? It is fair to say that I have aged well - I have a brilliant red coat, the cutest floppy ears, and short little legs ( I like to think that the grey around my eyes and muzzle makes me look distinguished.) Take a chance on a sweet boy like me- you won't be disappointed!
