It is with a heavy heart that we have to re-home our sweet baby August aka Gus. If you or anyone you know would like to add an adorably energetic pocket bully to your family, please reach out. She's about a year old, 35# and she is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Gus loves people and enjoys cuddling and playing with other dogs, but would do best in a home without smaller animals such as cats, as she likes to chase them. We don't feel that we can provide Gus with the exercise and enrichment she needs in order to be fulfilled and we want her to have the best life possible. Gus gets along well with the other two dogs in the house but she can be a bit bossy which may annoy some less tolerant dogs. She would likely do best as the only dog in the home so she would get her family's full attention but she would benefit from having doggy playmates. Gus was originally seized from an undesirable situation where she had spent the first 8 months to a year of her life in confinement (a crate.) She really didn't get the opportunity to be a puppy and now that she is, she needs structure, physical & mental enrichment and lots of attention in order to be fulfilled. We love her very much but feel it is in her best interest that we find a place for her to thrive and live the life that she deserves. Her new family should be active and willing to be patient & kind as they build a relationship with her and have a lifestyle that is suited for an energetic, attention-seeking puppy. Gus will want to sleep in your bed, sit in your lap and give you the puppy eyed head-tilt when she is wondering what the odd human that she loves is doing. She's a family dog all the way and wants nothing more than time with her humans. No aversive/punishment-based training techniques will be tolerated. is crate trained, house trained, knows sit and wait & responds very well to training.
