OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi! My name is Berenstain and my foster mom named me this because she thinks I look like a fuzzy bear cub! I am currently being fostered with my brother Yogi who I love to play with all day long! I also currently live with 2 bigger, older dogs in my foster home and I love running around after them! Some of my favorite activities include eating, hopping around the backyard, and stealing all the dog toys from everyone. Foster mom says I'm way more independent and energetic than my brother. I am currently working on potty training (and doing well) but I'm still very young and use pee pads in the house when foster mom isn't home to take me out in time. My brother and I stay in our doggie playpen during the day while everyone is at work and also sleep quietly together all night. I play well with other dogs and children and foster mom says I'm a very active, fun puppy! I will definitely be a big dog once I'm full grown. I will be at the adoption center in about 2 weeks, after I receive my 2nd set of puppy shots, but please feel free to fill out an application now because I am so cute I will surely be adopted in no time. Berenstain is a male Newfoundland mix that we estimate to be born around 11/24/17 and is 100% fluffy! PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
