What's up Doc? I am a 5 year-old male very handsome pit bull/ great dane mix, although we were told I was Great Dane/ Weimaraner! (yeah right, Obviously, I'm not!) I am in need of a loving, child-free home with space to run and play. I was adopted by my current family from Wooffun in NH 5 years ago. My life before them started out rough as I was abused when I was young and unfortunately my ears were cut. As time has passed and I have grown older I have become reluctant around small children. We are not sure but it might stem from things that happened in my past and before I ended up with my current family Recently, my mom had a baby with the hopes that I would learn to like kids, but unfortunately I still had some trouble adjusting. Maybe its because they are so small and fast moving and it just makes me uncomfortable, I dont know for sure. I promise I've tried my best. I do take a little bit of time to warm up to people but once I do I want to be your buddy and spend time with you. My mom says most certainly I am a lovable boy with everyone I have been around since the day they brought him home. I have been to doggy day camp and hung out with other dogs but it has been awhile since my family has been able to take me again. Slow intros would be best so that I can get back in the swing of things. Truly speaking, I am a very big baby / even a chicken! I have had training at the Northeast School for Dogs in Oxford, where I learned lots of things. They said I am very smart and a well-behaved boy. For extra kicks I love wading in the water and hunting for critters in the woods. My ideal home now would be a child-free home that can provide me the ability to run and play. I am micro chipped, neutered, and up to date on all my shots. Please give me a chance as I will make a great friend and buddy for you to hang out with. We can both make each other very happy. This is a very hard thing for my family to have to do and all the want is for me is to have the chance I deserve.
