About Charlie

Cavalier / Tibetan Terrier
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're unwanted and at risk of euthanasia at a high- kill shelter. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great New Mexico rescuer in saving Charlie...she could see that his temperament was so sweet and kind that she couldn't allow him to be euthanized. Farfel's was immediately contacted by Charlie's rescuer...we were thrilled to welcome this loving puppy into our rescue. It turns out that Charlie, at just about 12 weeks old and 5 lbs (expected to be approximately 12 - 15 lbs when full-grown) is so loving and so very sweet that it's been a fun and rewarding experience for his rescuer and foster mom. Charlie is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around him. If he continues this regimen of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Charlie will become a well-adjusted and very loving adult companion. Charlie is a gorgeous Cavalier/Terrier mix puppy (this was a guess by the vet) with a shining, cottony-soft coat that speaks of his breed mix. Charlie's sweet and cuddly demeanor is just who he is...he appears to be more snuggly and a bit more mellow than your average crazy puppy. If Charlie is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, he will become a well-adjusted guy who respects his people as his leaders. A family that loves Charlie like crazy is exactly the type of folks we're searching for for this silly, entertaining and very loving puppy. We also feel it's very important that he is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. Charlie will be overjoyed when his future holds walks along Colorado paths enjoying the sunshine. Socializing with dog-loving neighbors will definitely speak to the engaging nature of this adorable puppy. We'd love a family for Charlie that spends lots of time at home.. and chooses to include a fuzzy best friend in their activities. Charlie can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community. He can therefore accompany his family just about anywhere with the assurance that he'll be a loving and social guy. Charlie will be arriving in Boulder unfixed due to his very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter, microchip and any additional puppy shots he might require if our Denver vet is used. Charlie will require a commitment to periodic grooming. Lots of sudsy baths and serious brushing combined with great nutrition (a salmon oil supplement would be great!) will keep this puppy's coat healthy, silky-soft and matt-free. Charlie will be arriving on transport in Denver in late January (we'll confirm the date as soon as it's finalized). Applications are currently being accepted for this extremely sweet and cuddly best friend (and amazing lap dog). An application can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to [email protected] or fax to 303-443-7730. **PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Charlie, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving guy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
