Lab/Bulldog mix of some sort, looks predominately Black Lab with the slightest little underbite. Beautiful jet black coat with black/white speckled chest. Around 80# Luke is high energy, but is also happy to just cuddle with you in the sun on a pretty day. He was one of five pups found in a rural, swampy area, in the sweltering heat and elements on July 3, 2017, suffering from terrible mange, full of worms, ears full of some dark oily substance that took weeks to clean out, they were emaciated, weak, starving, crawling with fleas...they were a mess. After being separated from their other siblings, Luke and his brother Bo were found and taken to a medical foster home to heal. Both Bo and Luke were adopted together a few months later and Luke, though no fault of his own, was returned after only two months in the home. Luke is a big boy currently weighing almost 80 pounds at only approximately 10 months old. (Don't know how old when found, in July we estimated about 10-12 weeks I believe) He follows basic commands and is receptive to new ones, he's crate trained, is on a schedule where the foster has left at 8am, comes home and walks at lunch around 11, next walk around 330. Luke likes other dogs but has not been around cats at all. Because of his strength and size, Luke will need a strong owner/handler in a home with no small children. Luke is still learning to trust but once he does he melts into everyone he meets like butter. Beautiful jet black coat with black & white speckled chest. Great personality, this is A dog who will be stuck to the person who cares for him...and I don't blame him after what he's been through.
