About Marla - FOSTER HOME

Hi! My name is Marla and I am a big girl (90 pounds) and 2 years old Great Dane, but don't be put off by my size, I try really hard not to get in the way and can curl up in a really tiny ball when I sleep. My foster-mom calls me a big, silly doofus. I'm content to just lie around and chew on my toys, but I really like it when someone sits down and I can just stand by them to be petted and loved on. I like to play too! I love to play tug-o-war with my foster mom; she makes really funny noises when I pull her right out of her chair. It's awesome! I like to play with other dogs. But I do not like the idea of possibly sharing my food or toys. I know what it's like to not get enough to eat because I'm still pretty skinny, so I tend protect my food bowl. I have a blanket on one chair and I've been told that is my place. So I'm happy to just go curl up on my chair when I want to take a nap. I listen right away when someone tells me to do something, even if they're not standing right by me. When we go for walks, I always wish we could go faster, so I pull on my leash, but I am learning that it's a lot more comfortable for me if I just slow down a little and don't pull; I will need help remembering that, but I'm told I learn pretty fast. I'd love to come be part of your family if you've got a little spot in your heart for big ol' me. I have separation anxiety and need an owner that will have time and patience with me, preferably someone that is home often and has lots of time to spend with me. I need a home with NO cats because I will chase them, and a standard fence to keep me safe. Submit your application to keep me safe.
