About Roman

Cairn / Dachshund
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Is Roman Benji reincarnated with shorter legs? Perhaps! This boy can melt your heart with just his looks. We are guessing at his mix but are pretty sure we are nearly spot on. Whatever Roman's mix is, he is sweetness, playfulness, love and devotion all rolled into one. Roman came to us from a home where his young human moved away and the remaining family didn't want him. We cannot figure out who would not want this boy - he is adorable! Roman is not a barker, is respectful, walks great on a leash, gets along great with dogs of all ages and sizes, thinks cats are interesting, and gets along great with kids. He is even crate trained and walks well on his leash. At only two years old Roman is still young as dogs go but you know exactly what you are getting. He is around 12 pounds. If you would like to meet and potentially adopt Roman, read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent record
